The exec asked my boss to ask me if I would miss a day of school for a team building BS-session on Thursday. Fuck that.
There was also a post-it note attached to my computer monitor last week asking me to come in early the first day of Spring Break. Translation: Can you be here at 6:30am because I think that there might be a new child trying to register that morning to attend, even though there haven't been any new children magically show up on any of the other early morning days I've asked you to come in. I realize that all of my staff are supposed to be trained to take a new child's registration as well as the desk staff in the fitness center, but I'd rather have you here instead because we would prefer not having to expose the incompetence of all of those other staff as that would also expose the incompetence of us as supervisors over those staff. Come on - be a team player and do everyone else's job for them.
Again, fuck that (a sentiment which I directly shared with my supervisor). So now she's trying to make me feel bad or something by saying, "Fine, I'll just do it myself and I'll be here at that time." Good. Then it will be her time wasted instead of mine.
