Dream a Little Dream
Sep. 13th, 2006 01:11 pmI woke up this morning around 7am in convulsive crying fits, practically hyperventilating, and hands shaking like no other. I had a dream that we were playing the CyberPunk game when an officer came to the door looking for me. He informed me that my parents, sister and two nephews had all died in a car crash the previous evening. I first felt shock followed by more or less hysteria; the same state I awoke in. I keep having to catch my breath when I recall the dream and my emotional reaction to the news.
disgruntledgrrl could tell I was still a bit shakey when I finally came out of my bedroom.
Daisies, damn it. Why can't my brain just dream about a field of daisies? Of course, given my frequency of nightmares, I would probably end up dreaming about daemonic cannibal daisies growing out of control. The thought reminds me of the Creep Show skit in which Steven King becomes covered in moss before blowing his own brains out with a shotgun.
