The weekend was ok. It could have been better; it could have been worse.

I decided against going out to Club Minc Friday in lieu of sleep to prepare for Saturday's adventure. I managed to watch three movies over the weekend: The Brothers Grimm, Equilibrium, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (remake). I had already seen Charlie out at Caves back in the fall and was quite giddy during the movie when we watched it again. I absolutely loved Equilibrium - if you haven't seen it you must.

Oh, I have been corrected. I knew one of them was named Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, and I could have sworn it was the book. Instead it was the original movie. Both the book and the remake are named Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. See, I can admit when I'm wrong...sometimes...about little things like book and movie titles.

Saturday I went to Scarby with my mom, my sister, my baby nephew and my 3-yr-old demon child nephew that managed to throw fits and tantrums at 10 minute intervals and which lasted on average 5 minutes each. I never want a repeat of that Scarby experience. I really enjoy the place and I have no reason to hate it simply because I made the mistake of going there with my family on one occasion. The sun graced my shoulders, chest and face without the horrible stinging pain of a burn. As pale as I am, that's a miracle unto itself. It's really sad when the best thing I can say about my Scarby day is related to not getting a sunburn.

Sunday was as I predicted: brain dead day. It's always nice to take a day and not have a care in the world.

This begins the HELL week and a half for me at work. I give fair warning. Prepare for a stressed kitten about to bite the head off co-workers and customers alike.

I'm forwarding this info from batbuds on to [livejournal.com profile] geminibalance, although I have a feeling you might already know about it.

I would forward it to [livejournal.com profile] bluemurf, but you woman are on the wrong continent! You might still find it interesting though.

I got an email with all of the addressee names hidden (bcc) through the YMCA email system. I noticed that my name was actually listed, meaning the person sending the email specifically picked my name out amongst others rather than as part of a bigger grouping, to receive this email. It really scares me when the subject line reads "Building Employee Morale through Christian Principles."

In case you feel like stabbing out both eyes, here's the excruciatingly long and painful content )

If you click on the lj-cut, you're braver than I am.
