He works, he's late coming home, he brings me fajitas (like a huge plate that makes 5-6 fajitas with rice and beans and the works - I can't even eat it all), he passes out on the floor by my desk while I work on my taxes (since they have to be post marked by tomorrow), and because he's late and too tired we miss seeing the Texas Rangers game to which we had free passes courtesy of my neighbor.

Am I upset? Actually, no. I wished he could see a real professional American baseball game (especially since it was free), but my poor worn out boy is snoring happily right now on the floor next to me as I type this. And my taxes are done, my checkbook is balanced, my car insurance is paid for the next year, and I get a free drink at Denny's because I filled out an on-line survey. Not to mention the full stomach I had from the fajitas. I think I'm quite content at the moment. Besides, there will be other baseball games. Maybe when we go we'll be able to have more friends with us instead of just the two of us (hint, hint everybody - let's plan a baseball day out).

Sorry about that last entry. Funny what leaving out a little " symbol will do. That's what I get for not previewing. Well, it's fixed now, so please take another look at it.

I've sort of been waiting to see some articles about the fight AGAINST all of the Homeland Security changes which seem to involve an ever-increasing-in-size government agency which has no one overseeing it and the slowly disappearing liberties which we otherwise take for granted.

I think that this article may actually be the first one that I've seen. Of course, I'm sure there are plenty of others out there. I just enjoy the fact that I've actually come across one just by chance. Considering that I don't read the newspaper and don't go looking through online news, then me actually coming across something is a treat. Of course I have to sort of give props to [livejournal.com profile] 40hex because he had a link to another article on the same site and as such that's when I saw the link to this article. But it's still a good article to read.

This article

talks about this guy

getting a fake non-sensical paper (produced using SCIgen - An Automatic CS Paper Generator)

submitted to this non-sensical conference.

Considering that I still go to what I think are relatively good conferences about 1-2 per semester, I find the article absolutely hilarious. Just thought I'd share it with those who I know are involved in the scientific fields.
