The receptionist that interviewed me (yes, I was interviewed by the receptionist) kept repeating something along the lines of, "You know, a full time assistant position is usually going to require you to be able to work normal business hours between 8 to 6. The object is to have someone in the office during those hours."
Yeah, as though I haven't heard enough about that one from the unemployment office. I know what "normal" business hours are and I'm being up front about my class. I'm not looking for a normal schedule. I'm looking for something that will be a bit flexible. I just hate it when it feels like someone is lecturing me on something that I am overly KEENLY aware of. I know very well that if there is a full-time receptionist then covering for her lunch or the off chance that she is sick may be in order, but an assistant's job duties are usually more flexible and some work can be done in off hours.
