All Gamed Out
Can I kill my sister? What's that you say? It's still illegal? DAMNIT! I won't go into details here, but this weekend required sisterly killings.
Our usual family gatherings were shot all to hell (not all completely her fault, but pretty damn close) and I really couldn't be bothered. I missed seeing my nephews open their presents, which saddens me, but it was my own decision not to go and visit.
Instead, I worked and played games.
Saturday morning involved my mom and I finishing up a three-day organizing job. It was for an older Chinese couple and we worked on their kitchen and pantry. The worst part was that when it was time to leave the husband began cooking their lunch. OMG it smelled so good. No cheap buffet food there. On hindsight, I don't think that we should have turned down their offer of tea and cake.
Saturday afternoon involved last minute babysitting of the baby nephew for a few hours while my parents took care of some emergency business (yes, it was related to my sister).
Saturday evening was our CyberPunk game.
Sunday I played the WoW board game, curtesy of
mr_rubix. My mom's side of the family had cancelled X-mas events, so the game was a great distraction.
Monday I spent playing Arkham Horror until 3am, also courtesy of
mr_rubix as it was his gift for the commune.
I also managed to mostly maintain my Dead Awaken character throughout the weekend as well as receive a really, really nice in-game gift from Santa.
At 3am I made my way to work so that I could get a report ready for the staff that would be showing up at 6:30 to watch the kids. Luckily I worked quite quickly and was back home and in bed by 4:45am. I eventually made my way back to work at 2pm this afternoon for my normal work shift while I day-dreamed of staying home with my other roomies who had the day off.
